Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I nearly didn't get here at all because being a dim-wit I didn't read the rules properly. Still you learn by your mistakes as they say. So, onward.

Firstly I'd like to congratulate Making Tracks for some splendid Routes, of which I have 5 to date and hopefully will obtain them all in due course. My favorite being this one. Which brings me to my question: I am currently creating my own first route. It is a fictional one which bares no resemblance to anywhere in particular other than what is in my head, which is like scrambled egg at the best of times. I was wondering therefore if I may have your permission to use a couple of the scenery objects in this route, namely bridges and blocks. There will be no commercial value placed on my route.

I think I may be able to answer this one for you, I think the answer will be no as this being a commercial route there is rules regarding using commercial items in a freeware route, you will not be able to show screenshots of it and definitly not be able to upload it I'm afraid. I would search the UKTS site on permissions for using items for freeware routes and I think you will find using commercial stuff is a big no-no.

Thanks for taking the time to answer anyway. You don't know till you ask as they say. Thanks again. I might have a go at designing my own.

Most of the scenery is by Ian Jenkins.

He is free to agree to anything he wants to for his work even if we're used it.
He could agree to it.
